Police detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect they believe shot a local man during a dispute earlier this week in west Shreveport.

Investigators procured a warrant yesterday afternoon charging 17 year old Lonnie Johnson, of the 3800 block of Jackson Street in Shreveport, with one count of aggravated battery in connection with the shooting of 23 year old Antonio Walker back on May 21, 2012 in the 3800 block of Jackson Street. Walker, who was shot once in the ankle, was subsequently transported to LSUHSC by the Shreveport Fire Department with what was described as a non-life-threatening injury.

Detectives believe Johnson and Walker, who are known to each other, were involved in a dispute over money when Johnson produced a handgun and shot at Walker multiple times. Johnson’s bond has been set at $75,000. Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Lonnie Johnson is urged to call Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
