Police Looking for Dollar Store Bandit

SPD-police_carShreveport police detectives are trying to identify and catch a man who robbed a north Shreveport dollar store last night. Just before 9 o’clock, officers were called to a reported armed robbery at the Dollar General in the 3300 block of North Market Street. There, a witness told them a man armed with a handgun burst into the store and demanded money from the clerk. He got the cash and took off on foot. No one was hurt. The suspect is described as a slim black male, about five-foot-six to five-foot-eight. Investigators are working to recover surveillance video from the business. If you have information that can help in the meantime, call detectives or Crime Stoppers.
