Shreveport police detectives are investigating a shooting involving a Shreveport Regional Airport security officer.
Just before 10:15 p.m. on August 19, 2014, patrol officers were called to the airport in the 5100 block of Hollywood Avenue to a report of a shooting involving a member of the airport's security force. At the same time, they received a call from a cab driver, who said an airport security officer had shot out one of the tires of his cab.

Detectives believe there was some sort of dispute between the driver and the officer that led to the shooting. As the cab driver was leaving the facility, the officer fired one shot, striking the vehicle's front passenger side tire.

No one was wounded. Crime scene investigators are working to analyze surveillance video from the airport. No one has been charged, but the security officer has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
