Pointe Coupee Car Crash Kills Man

NEW ROADS, La. (AP) — A 45-year-old Krotz Springs man has been killed in a traffic accident in Pointe Coupee Parish.

State police say it happened Saturday on Louisiana Highway 10 just east of Highway 77 shortly before 6:30 a.m.

James Thomas Webre was driving a 1986 Camaro that ran off the road and struck a tree. State police said Webre was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered fatal injuries. The accident is under investigation.
