Another week, another favorite local restaurant closing its doors.

Just last week, we shared the news that Taco Bueno in Shreveport would be closing effective immediately. Now, lovers of all things taco have been dealt another blow as another popular Shreveport eatery has announced their decision via Facebook.

This morning, many of us Taceauxheads woke up to sad news when we checked our Facebook timeline. Personally, I was shocked and saddened to see Parish Taceaux's announcement, as the downtown Shreveport restaurant had become one of my favorites over the years.

Parish Taceaux arrived in downtown five years ago, setting up shop inside the beautiful Artspace building. No trip to downtown Shreveport was complete without a stop at the wonderful taco restaurant. Like so many of our local favorites over the past few months, the pandemic was simply too much to overcome for Parish Taceaux.

This morning via Facebook, they wrote, "We are closing our doors after almost 5 years in Downtown Shreveport at Artspace. It has been a great ride, but it’s time to sign out."

While it is beyond sad that they've decided to close their doors, there is at least a little bit of good news. Their closing will not be effective immediately, and we all will have a little under two weeks to support them and send them off with love (and money). They announced they'll remain open until Friday, October 23rd. This week through Saturday, they'll be open for lunch and dinner, and next week they will be open for lunch.
You can find their full announcement below.
