Panty Burglar Sought In East Texas

The theft of women’s lingerie this week may have been the work of a suspect dubbed the “Panty Burglar” in the Lufkin area.

Angelina County authorities believe that this break-in is just the latest in a two-year string of break-ins where the burglar only takes women’s undergarments.

Angelina County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Pete Maskunas is concerned about Tuesday’s break-in because the thief also took underwear belonging to a 5-year-old girl.

The Lufkin Daily News reports authorities are concerned with the sexual nature of the burglaries and believe that they are dealing with someone with a fetish and perversion.

About a dozen homes have been broken into over the past two years, but only undergarments have been taken in each case.
