The idea that Shreveport needs its own dog park is no longer just for the dogs. A judge today (May 16) ruled in favor of Resolution 133. Mayor Cedric Glover has until June 21 to sign off on creating a dog park for Shreveport residents.
Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover has been ordered to execute or explain his lack of action on the dog park front. Attorney Dan Keele tells us Caddo District Court Judge Leon Emmanuel has issued this ruling and ordered the Mayor to a hearing on April 10th
Whether you want a dog park or not, you could be paying to not accept it. If the Dog Park Alliance goes forward with plans to sue the mayor, Shreveport taxpayers will be footing the bill for Mayor Cedric Glover's defense.
Expect the fur to fly now that Mayor Cedric Glover has said he will not change his mind about a plan for a dog park in Shreveport. Cynthia Keith with the Shreveport Dog Park Alliance says she is disappointed and revealed that her group is planning to take legal action.
