Deadly violence continues in Shreveport. Following a weekend where three people were shot, two of them fatally, another person has been shot and killed in the city.

One man is dead following a late night shooting in the 900 block of Mitchell Lane. The deadly incident happened just before 11 pm. Shreveport police responded to a shots fired call and found a man dead from several gunshot wounds in the front yard of a home. An investigation into the deadly shooting is on going.

Sunday night, two other men were murdered in Shreveport. One man was killed at an apartment complex on Baird Road. Then, a short time later, a man in his 60s was shot and killed in the 3000 block of Gordonia Drive.

Following the outburst of violence, Councilman Willie Bradford is once again urging city leaders to seek help in fighting the city's growing crime problem. Bradford says that chronic killings have taken the lives of too many citizens and it needs to stop. Bradford went on to say if Shreveport wants to grow and gain new business, it needs to be a much safer place.
