Shreveport police have released the name of the officer who fired a shot at a pickup truck early Sunday morning when he feared its was about to run over him. Corporal David Heaser is a thirteen-year veteran of the police department and has been a member of the downtown unit for about six years. The driver he shot is currently at LSU Hospital where his condition has been upgraded to good. When he's released, 30-year-old Christopher Duggan faces charges of aggravated assault with a vehicle on a police officer, driving while intoxicated, aggravated flight from an officer and reckless operation of a vehicle.
