It couldn't have been a better ending to Season 22 of 'Dancing with the Stars,' with 'America's Next Top Model' Nyle DiMarco proving that no matter what your disability, you can accomplish anything if you put your mind to it.

If you've read my previous stories on this season, you know that I went into it not really knowing what to expect. I wasn't too excited about the celebrities at first, but after seeing them perform and grow in their dancing ability, I grew to adore most of them not just as entertainers, but as people.

The person who inspired and surprised me the most was, of course, new champion Nyle DiMarco. Number of times I cried watching him perform: at least three, possibly four. I know I cried twice during last night's final show. My jaw fell to the floor during nearly every one of his routines, because nobody ever thought a man who can't hear could dance like that. He was so precise, it was easy to forget his impairment.

The night was amazing all the way around. All three finalists -- DiMarco, 'Good Morning America' Chief Meteorologist Ginger Zee, and MMA Fighter Paige VanZant -- really brought their A games, delivering their own unique routines to showcase all they've learned during this season. I was blown away!

The moment that really got me and everyone else who was watching, though, was when judge Carrie Ann Inaba, through tears, signed to Nyle, "Thank you for showing us your beautiful heart when you dance." I absolutely lost it! I was bawling like a baby, and so were Nyle and his partner Peta Murgatroyd. She deserves a lot of credit for her tenacity and skill in securing the win.

It was a special night. We got to celebrate long-time DWTS pro Mark Ballas' 30th birthday, get a preview of Maks and Val Chmerkovskiy's dance tour (making a stop in Shreveport in early August, by the way!), see some inspiring dances, and rejoice in Nyle's victory. This was the most memorable Dancing season yet!

My takeaway from all this.....don't ever underestimate yourself. And don't let ANYONE tell you what you're capable of doing.
