NSU Names Dr. Jim Henderson Its Next University President

Bossier Parish Community College Chancellor Jim Henderson will be headed to Natchitoches to take over as the next Northwestern State University President.

Henderson tells me he's excited about the news. "My wife and I couldn't be more excited about returning to Northwestern, where we had our start," Henderson said. "The future is bright. Couldn't be brighter."

Henderson was selected today by the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors. He'll take over at NSU on January 1, 2015.

That, of course, leaves a vacancy at BPCC's helm. Henderson said the LCTCS president will conduct a thorough search for a new chancellor. He said in the meantime, it's business as usual at BPCC.
