A federal judge in Marshall has sentenced 45-year-old Edward Charles Lee of Gladewater to over sixteen years in federal prison. Lee pled guilty in August of last year to being a felon in possession of a firearm. According to court records, Lee was found to be in possession of several firearms in Upshur County, Texas. Investigators with the Upshur County Sheriff's Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms learned that Lee was a convicted felon -- he'd been found guilty of battery in 1993. As such, he's prohibited by federal law from owning or possessing firearms or ammunition.
