Natchitoches Band Releases Honey Badger Tribute

Most folks around here are familiar with the Natchitoches rock band “Johnny Earthquake and the Moondogs.” Well, now band members Rodney Harrington and Jarrett Bailey have penned a song in honor of LSU defensive back Tyrann Mathieu. They call it, appropriately, “He Takes What he Wants” (The Honey Badger Song). The band even brought in Wayne Toups to do the guest vocals. This isn’t the first time that the Moondogs have collaborated with Toups nor is it the first time they’ve ventured into sports-themed music. In 2006, the band had a cult hit with their song “They Call Him Drew Brees” — a tribute to the New Orleans Saints quarterback.
