A man found naked in a tree this morning in south Highlands has been committed.

Shreveport police say the man was found in the tree at around 8:30 this morning. He had been throwing things at cars near the intersection of Fairfield and Gladstone.

He was removed from the tree by the Shreveport Fire Department, then taken by officers to University Health in Shreveport on an emergency commitment order.

Police say no charged are being filed against the man at this time. His name is not being released.
