SHREVEPORT, LA-  Shreveport police arrest multiple felons over the weekend taking several illegally owned guns off the streets of Shreveport.

The Shreveport Police Department proactively works to take illegally possessed firearms off our streets. The following offenders were arrested and charged after being found to be convicted felons armed with firearms after being prohibited.

Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department arrested Tradarryl Taylor (12-27-98) on September 29th around 9:29 a.m. after he fled from a reportedly stolen vehicle. He was found to be a convicted felon armed with a firearm.

Shreveport Police Officers arrested Lajarrod Ashley (3-29-96) on September 29th around 7:54 p.m. after he was found to be a convicted felon armed with a firearm during contact with police in the 500 block of West 77th Street.

Shreveport Police Patrol Officers arrested Sherrika Wise (8-2-83) on September 30th around 5:36 a.m. after she was found to have been a convicted felon and was prohibited from possessing a firearm during a traffic stop at West 62nd Street and Union Avenue.

Officers working in the downtown area arrested Frederick Fuggins (7-4-72) on October 1st around 3:51 a.m. after officers answered an armed persons call in the 200 block of Spring Street. Fuggins was contacted by officers and found he was a convicted felon.

Shreveport Police Patrol Officers arrested Jacob Cullen (2-26-91) on October 2nd around 2:46 a.m. after he was found to have been a convicted felon and was prohibited from possessing a firearm. Cullen was contacted on a call of a suspicious person at Hearne Avenue and Lakeshore Drive. Cullen fled from the police but was eventually captured by officers.

All Firearms were seized as evidence. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
