Morning Traffic Issues Caused Big Delays

Some tense moments this morning in several areas of town.  A wreck at West 70th at the Terry Bradshaw Passway East had traffic tied up for a while.  No word on injuries from that wreck.  In Bossier, we got reports that a train was stopped on the tracks on Airline Drive at I-20, which caused major back-ups on I-20 and Highway 80, as well as at the tracks at Old Minden Road, just past Holiday Lanes.  Turns out something triggered the crossing arms to come down.  It didn't take long for that problem to be cleared up.   Then, a van rear-ended a school bus on Highway 157 near Haughton Middle School.  Fortunately, there were no kids on the bus, and its driver and the van's driver weren't injured.
