As Congressional Democrats threaten a government shutdown unless President Trump and Republican lawmakers agree to their version of a DACA amnesty plan, Rep. Mike Johnson talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the chances of the Dems and the GOP reaching a deal.

Johnson tells KEEL listeners that the Democrats failure to bend on their demands for amnesty for the estimated 3.6 million and unwillingness to fund border security lead many, himself included, to believe that an agreement to fund the government past midnight Saturday will not be reached. The Congressman also explains the effects of the potential shutdown, including what government services - and employees - are considered essential and which are not.
