Shreveport Man Found Guilty in Teenager’s Death
A Caddo Parish jury has convicted a Shreveport man for his role in the November 2007 drive-by shooting death of a teenager. 44-year-old James Edward Mason, Jr., has been found guilty of second-degree murder in the death of 16-year-old Latorisha Wiley. He’ll return to court September 9th for sentencing. Second-degree murder carries a mandatory life prison sentence. Mason’s co-defendant in the case — 29-year-old Charles Evans — is set to go on trial October 10th.
