Man’s Body Recovered from Apartment Complex Lake

An investigation is underway into the death of a 26-year-old man whose body was recovered last night from the lake at the Villaggio Apartments -- where he lived.  Bossier City spokesman Mark Natale says police and firefighters were called to the complex just after six last evening by a security guard.  He'd been contacted by another resident when he noticed a fishing pole, tackle box, and other personal items that he'd first seen sitting on the lake's concrete wall yesterday morning were still there last evening.  Firefighters recovered the man's body just after 9:15 last night.  He's been identified as John Eric Allen.  Natale says there was no visible sign of trauma and foul play is not suspected but Allen's body has been sent to the Bossier Parish Coroner's office for an autopsy.
