Shreveport police are looking for a man accused of stealing money from his own father.

During their investigation, detectives learned that 66-year-old John Farris, Sr., had been hospitalized after suffering a medical condition that severely affected his cognitive ability. Just days after he was discharged, his son -- John Farris, Jr., -- allegedly tricked him into giving him access to his accounts. Then he cleaned out his dad's acount, took off, and hasn't been seen since.

Police have a warrant charging Farris, Jr., with one count of theft of assets of an aged or elderly person. His bond is set at $40,000. If you know where he is, call Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at 673-7373 or on the Crime Stoppers website.
