A man driving a stolen pickup truck led Bossier City police on a pursuit into Shreveport before being captured.

An officer tried to stop 30-year-old Parnell Scott on Hamilton Road at I-20 after noticing the inspection sticker on the truck he was driving was expired, and the license tag appeared to have been switched out with a different one. But Scott refused to pull over, driving onto I-20 west into Shreveport with the officer in pursuit.

Scott stopped the truck in a vacant lot in the 900 block of Pickett Street, just south of downtown Shreveport, then attempted to run away on foot. Responding officers quickly took him into custody. The truck Scott was driving was found to have been reported stolen.

Scott was booked into the Shreveport City Jail as a fugitive, then taken back over to Bossier. He was later transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility. He's charged with aggravated flight from an officer, possessing stolen things, switched license plate and expired motor vehicle inspection.
