[UPDATE] Highland-Area Murder Suspects Caught
[UPDATE July 31, 2014] Two men accused in the shooting death of a local man have been taken into police custody.
[UPDATE July 30, 2014] Shreveport police now have arrest warrants in the city's latest homicide.
Two men have been linked to this week's home invasion and shooting of 48-year-old William David Caroll at his home in the 3100 block of Holly Street. Detectives have warrants charging 35-year-old Kinoy Damon Singleton with second degree murder, and 41-year-old Robert Lynn with principal to second degree murder.
Police urge anyone with information that can help locate these men to call Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
[UPDATE 3] Police have identified the victim as 48-year-old William David Carroll.
[UPDATE 2] Shreveport police detectives have released preliminary details in their investigation into this morning's shooting in Highland.
They say the shooting victim and a male friend were inside the home, when two suspects, one armed with a handgun, entered and tried to rob them. At some point, the gunman fired a shot, hitting the victim in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspects are describes only as black males. They left the scene on foot. Police are working to identify and catch them. They ask anyone with information that can help to call Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at 673-7373. The agency is offering a $1,000 reward if an arrest is made.

[ORIGINAL STORY] Shreveport police are on the scene of a deadly shooting near Centenary College. At around 3:30 this morning, they went to a home on Holly Street, just off of Kings Highway, and found the man shot at least once.
The victim's roommate is being interviewed, but is not considered a suspect. Police are also talking with neighbors.
