SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport police officers make arrest in aggravated flight incident

On November 14, at approximately 1:55 PM, Shreveport Police Traffic Enforcement Officers responded to an incident involving the aggravated flight of a motor vehicle. Officers attempted to stop a male operating a dirt bike at the intersection of Corbitt Street and Ledbetter Street.

The individual, identified as 21-year-old Michael Ritter, refused to comply with officers' commands to stop, initiating a pursuit that spanned through the adjacent neighborhood. The efforts of our dedicated officers ultimately led to the apprehension of Ritter, who was operating the vehicle during the pursuit.

Michael Ritter now faces the following charges:

  • One count of aggravated flight from an officer
  • One count of operating an off-road vehicle on the roadway
  • Multiple traffic offenses

We must remind that suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
