Police have arrested a man suspected of attacking a Shreveport Police officer during a traffic stop.

Police have arrested 26-year-old Karldarl Septo Hill and his 33-year-old brother Broderick Demond Hil.

Police say the younger brother got into a fight with an officer during a traffic stop on North Market at North Hearne Friday night. More than a dozen police units responded to the scene after an officer was trying to pat down Karldarl Septo Hill when he resisted verbal commands, became combative and "attempted to choke the officer causing injuries to both arms," booking records say.

Karldarl Hill is charged with battery on a police officer.

He also has been cited with a tinted window violation, 2 counts of driving with a suspended driver's license and 1 count each of having no driver's license and failing to use a signal as required at least 100 feet prior to a turn.

Broderick Demond Hill is accused of interfering with the arrest.
