LSUS-Tech Merger Advances

A measure to merge LSU-Shreveport with Louisiana Tech is making its way through the legislature. The House Education Committee has approved the legislation on a 14 to 4 vote. If the measure is passed LSU-Shreveport would become a second campus for Tech. The legislation faces opposition from LSU System leaders but it has the support of the Board of Regents.
