LSU Junior Linebacker Kevin Minter Available For NFL Draft
LSU Tiger Kevin Minter announced Thursday that he won't play his final season at LSU and had made himself available for the NFL Draft.
I told you a few days ago that eight LSU Tigers might be leaving and Kevin Minter has made his decision.
Minters accomplishments in the 2012 season are:
- 130 tackles
- 15.0 tackles for loss
- 4.0 sacks
- 4 quarterback hurries
Minter's 130 tackles in 2012 rank as the fifth-highest total in school history.
Also in 2012, Sports Illustrated honored him first team All-America. He was one of five finalists for the Butkus Award. Minter was also named LSU's most valuable player, was a first team All-Southeastern Conference selection and he was SEC Defensive Player of the Week two times.
Minter leaves LSU with with a total of 206 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks. He a total of 38 games and started 24 times.
