Shreveport native and Buffalo Bills star Tre'Davious White talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about his upcoming hockey weekend as special guest and Grand Marshall of the Shreveport Mudbugs Mardi Gras festivities.

The Mudbugs, with two home games scheduled for George's Pond at Hirsch Coliseum, will be celebrating the carnival season with "Krewe of Clawed" parades in the arena both nights and White, widely recognized in the Buffalo community as a hockey fanatic, leading another parade at Saturday's game.

The former Green Oaks and LSU star began his love affair with hockey when he began his career with the Bills and almost immediately became enamored with the Buffalo Sabres NHL team. It was then that the tongue-in-cheek legend of Tre'Davious White, the Greatest Hockey Player in Louisiana History began.

That idea, and resulting promo video, then led to an even more viral video, "The Tre'Davious White Goalie Academy of Louisiana, with current and former Sabres stars gushing about how attending White's "school" has enhanced their careers.

Tre' Davious White will be at Saturday night's Shreveport Mudbugs game against division rival Amarillo. He'll participate in the ceremonial opening puck drop, take part in the evening's public skating and act as Grand Marshall of the Mudbugs "Krewe of Clawed" parade.
