It's creator, Gregory Kallenberg, calls it 'the most amazing entrepreneurial competition on the planet!' Kallenberg is referring to the Louisiana Start Up Prize, and the winner will get $50,000 in cash and services!

Kallenberg, whose previous ideas come to life include the Louisiana Film Prize, says the purpose of his latest venture is 'to energize entrepreneurs and to help them become better at their business, to connect with other entrepreneurs and investors.'

To compete, businesses must be less than three years old and have less than $1 million in revenue. They must attend at least one of two weekend qualifiers and, at those qualifying sessions, startup teams will meet with experts, educators, mentors and coaches to help bring their money making ideas to fruition.

A panel of anonymous investor / judges will select up to five competitors to present their concepts. They will then select the winner and have the opportunity to invest in their projects.

The Louisiana Start Up Prize winner will receive $25,000 in cash and another $25,000 in services from an array of Prize sponsors and supporters.
