Thanks to efforts by the Stockwell Place Elementary Student Council, a Little Free Library will be set up in Bossier City.

According to Bossier Schools Liaison Sonja Bailes, the council took on the project to encourage reading and make a difference in their community. Students filled out all the official forms and did everything by the book, in light of the controversy surrounding the Little Free Library in Shreveport.

Council members constructed the free-standing library and a parent painted it. Another parent, who's the president of the Carriage Oaks Crossing Neighborhood Association, got approval to locate the library at the group's clubhouse.

Now, they just have to put up the library, and they invite you to come out when they do that. It'll be set up at 3:30 Monday afternoon at 6012 Parliament Drive in Bossier City. Many students who live near the area will be able to utilize the area.

Once the libaray is in place, residents will be able to "Take a Book, Leave a Book."
