I-20 Fatality

Shreveport police are investigating a fatality crash that happened last night on I-20. Just before 10:30 last night, patrol officers were called out to I-20 E. near the Monkhouse Drive exit to a report of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian there. When they arrived, they found out that 39-year-old Nevan Mangum of Marlin, Texas, was driving down the interstate, when he heard a loud noise. He pulled over and walked back to investigate and saw someone lying in the median. He immediately called police. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are working now to determine exactly what caused the crash. The pedestrian's name isn't being released pending notification of family.
