The owner of a local gold-buying business has been arrested on multiple charges -- including illegal possession of stolen things.  His arrest followed an investigation that began when a woman reported that several pieces of jewelry were missing from her home.  Detectives learned thatt  the jewelry had been taken by a family member who then redeemed it for cash at the Gold and Silver Money Tree on East 70th.  Police arrested 20-year-old Jordan Young on a charge of felony theft and booked her into the Shreveport City Jail.  Investigators learned that the owner of the gold-buying business, 49-year-old Stanley Siler, had conducted a number of business transactions with Young over the past few month and that he was melting down jewelry almost immediatedly instead of holding it for at least thirty days as required by state law.  He was arrested and booked on charges of illegally possessing stolen things and disposing of or changing the identity of  items without waiting the required thirty days.
