George Strait Says Goodbye to the Road With Final Show in Arlington
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — It's the end of the trail for country music king George Strait, who will wrap up his final tour with a star-filled show at the lavish home of the Dallas Cowboys in his home state of Texas.
The show later Saturday brings an end to nearly 40 years on the road for Strait, which started in 1975 with the Ace in the Hole Band. And he plans to do it in style, inviting several of country's biggest stars, including Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean and Eric Church.
Yet the focus will still be on the 62-year-old singer, who is beloved in country music with a career decades longer than most. He's had more songs top Billboard's country music charts than any other musician.
