The large amount of vehicle traffic expected at Thursday night's sold-out George Strait concert at the CenturyLink Center has Bossier City police advising concertgoers and motorists to plan accordingly.
The last time Strait played Bossier City was in 2012, and that concert was also a sell-out. Many people were delayed in arriving on time for the show due to heavy traffic.

With that in mind, concertgoers should make plans to arrive early and are encouraged to carpool, if possible.

Doors will open for the show at 6 p.m. on Jan. 9, with the concert scheduled to begin at 7:30.

Motorists not attending the show should consider using Barksdale Boulevard and avoid traveling on Arthur Ray Teague Parkway during the early evening hours Thursday, as attendees make their way to the show. Motorists are also advised to avoid ART Parkway when the concert lets out at around 11 p.m.

People dropping off and picking up concertgoers are advised to utilize the circular drive in front of CenturyLink Center's main entrance from the ART Parkway. Bossier City police officers will be on-hand to assist with traffic control.
