Since the spike in February, gasoline prices have done a subtle slide down to the current average of $3.44.  And this will not be the end.

Prices have gone down 15 cents over the past month.  AAA's Don Redman said this trend is typical after refineries switch from winter blend to summer blend fuel.

Redman noted that normally, we see refineries make the switch over now.  At this time last year, prices spiked to about $3.80 a gallon.  But this year, the switch over happened in February.

Prices could fall below $3.00 before the summer driving season begins.
