A Shreveport police officer who was fired in October has been arrested on a warrant for threatening public officials.

At around 6 last night, Caddo Sheriff's SRT members stopped a truck driven by 45-year-old James Paul Creighton at Kimberly and Shirley Francis. Creighton was taken to the CPSO Investigations Office, where he was interviewed by Detective Andy Scoggins. Then he was booked into Caddo Correctional Center on the warrant.

Creighton is accused of threatening SPD administrative personnel and others who he believed were responsible for his termination in late October.

Creighton was also booked on a charge of illegal use of a weapon for an incident in January, when he fired shots at a man in the 8700 block of Weirwood Road after they had a disagreement. The man was not wounded.
