Food Bank of NWLA Launches Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser

The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana is gearing up for its annual Empty Bowls fundraiser by hosting the Empty Bowls Kick-Off Bowl Painting Party.
The Bossier City Kick-off will take place on Thursday, March 24, 2010 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the old Chico’s location (behind Banana Republic) at the Louisiana Boardwalk in Bossier City.
For a $5 donation, guests of all ages can hand paint a ceramic bowl which will be used by patrons of the Empty Bowls event set for June 9th at El Dorado Casino and Hotel. Tickets for the event will also be available for purchase.
The annual Empty Bowls event is a Hunger Awareness Fundraising Event and is the food bank’s main fundraiser of the year. The bowls serve to remind attendees of all the empty bowls in our community that do not get filled.
