Local Congressman John Fleming officially favors the Environmental Protection Agency's plan to review the Louisiana National Guard's proposal to dispose of the roughly 15 million pounds of M6 propellant stored at Camp Minden.

Congressman Fleming's statement:

“I applaud the work of the Dialogue Committee, Louisiana National Guard, and the EPA in working with the community to find an alternative solution to open burn. The EPA’s decision not to disapprove of the Louisiana National Guard’s proposal is an important step in remediating this situation. I am proud of all their hard work and having the chance to work with them to ensure that the materials are eliminated as quickly and safely as possible.”
