We touched on it a bit last week...but it's worthy of a reminder as we head into New Year's. Shreveport police say...celebrate with fireworks, not firearms. Police stress that it's against the law to discharge any type of firearm in the city limits...and people who do it will be put in jail. They say what goes up must come down, and you never know who or what that bullet will end up hitting. Officers will be patrolling the streets on New Year's Eve in an aggressive, proactive effort to locate people firing guns into the air and putting other lives at risk. And they urge anyone who sees someone doing it to immediately call 911 and report it.
