An afternoon fire in southern Bossier Parish destroyed two abandoned mobile homes, but firefighters were able to keep it from destroying the main home on the property.  Investigators say the fire appears to have started when the homeowner was burning leaves.  The flames jumped to an abandoned trailer and spread quickly to another trailer right next to the house.  Firefighters from the South Bossier, East 80, and Haughton Fire Departments responded to the call, along with Bossier Parish sheriff's deputies.  Firefighters were able to stop the quickly-spreading fire at the rear bedroom of the house, thus saving that structure.  But both mobile homes were destroyed.
