DNA Evidence Links Shreveport Man to Armed Robbery in MLK Area

Shreveport police say DNA evidence has linked a Shreveport man to an August armed robbery in the Martin Luther King neighborhood.

On August 14, 2014, a man flagged down two people in the 2900 block of Willie Mays Street and robbed the pair at gunpoint. Discarded clothing was found near the scene and was sent to the North Louisiana Crime Lab for analysis.

The evidence has been linked to 27-year-old Leroy George. Investigators have an arrest warrant charging him with armed robbery. Anyone with information on where he might be is asked to call Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
