Details Announced For 2013 DigiFest South in Shreveport-Bossier

What's in store for this year's DigiFest South? We now have more details about the festival, to be held September 20th and 21st in Shreveport-Bossier. The digital arts festival is seeking artists, exhibitors and entrepreneurs to participate in its second run.

New for this year's event is a variety of programs in downtown Shreveport. CoHabitat Shreveport, a collaborative workspace in the downtown entertainment district, will host a digital economy symposium and other events throughout the weekend. Other events include workshops, panels and talks centered on digital media -- like how to continue building a digital media infrastructure in Louisiana, business planning, and an angel investor pitch event.

Also new for the 2013 festival is a digital music concert underneath the Texas Street Bridge in downtown Shreveport.

Entries for digital art, display booths and entrepreneurial pitches must be submitted by June 29th. Visit the Bossier Arts Council's website for more info.
