A Dallas woman is sentenced to just over three years in prison for her role in a cocaine conspiracy in northwest Louisiana and Texas.

U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley says in a news release that 41-year-old Ericka Ruffins was sentenced for one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine. She's also sentenced to three years of supervised release.

Court evidence showed that Ruffins would transport cocaine for Renando Johnson from Dallas to Shreveort for distribution in our area. She was recorded in early 2013 discussing cocaine transactions and plans to transport cocaine.

Ruffins is the last of six defendants to be sentenced in this case. Johnson will serve just over three years, Elijah Johnson -- three-and-a-half years, Emmitt Williams IV -- two years, and Eady Horton - time served for one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine in June and July of 2014.

Tracy Russell was sentenced to slightly over a year in prison for one count of "unlawful use of a communication facility." They'll all serve three years of supervised release.
