A senior Caddo Parish sheriff's deputy has been honored by the FBI. Captain Darwin Jones is the recipient of the Bureau's Law Enforcement Executive Development Association's Leadership Trilogy Award. That award is given to law enforcement officers who have successfully completed LEEDA's Command Institute, Supervisor Leadership Institute, and Executive Survival: Policing in the 21st Century training courses. According to LEEDA administrators, he's one of only two law enforcement officers in Louisiana to ever receive the award. The retired Marine is a 21-year veteran of the Caddo Sheriff's Office and currently serves as commander of both the Judicial Services Division and the Special Response Team.
