Couple Pleads Guilty to Federal Charges

While most couples were celebrating Valentine’s Day, an east Texas couple was in court. A Tenaha, Texas, couple has pled guilty to federal firearms violations. 39-year-old Roderrette McClure has admitted to being a felon in possession of a firearm. His 32-year-old wife Jeannie has admitted that she provided a firearm to a convicted felon. Several firearms were seized during a search of the McClure’s home back in August. Rince Roderette McClure has a prior felony conviction for attempted sexual assault in Harris County, he’s prohibited by federal law from owning or possessing firearms or ammunition. A sentencing date for the McClures has not yet been set but each could face up to ten years in federal prison.
