Shreveport Councilwoman Stephanie Lynch tells 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert and Erin that, as far as the city council is concerned, Mayor Ollie Tyler's $100 million sports arena proposal "is a done deal in terms of the elected officials."

Lynch tells KEEL listeners that, despite her initial yes vote to give more study to the Mayor's proposal, that her constituents are saying, "Hell no, we won't go!" in reference to their support of the New Orleans Pelicans NBA G-League team.

The veteran councilwoman also says that she is not confident that the Benson family involvement with the new team will have no sway in drawing fans to games. She also opines that if the Tyler administration had put as much time and effort into previous plans, people in her district would be more optimistic about any long term success.
