Congressman Fleming Looks Ahead

Last week's failure of the "Supercommittee" to nail down a debt-reduction plan leaves a lot of Congressional questions. Fourth-District Louisiana Congressman John Fleming says he doesn't see any "substantial" action on the immediate horizon. In the meantime, Doctor Fleming says he and other Congressional Republicans are going to be looking for ways to reduce the mandatory cuts in defense spending that are set to kick in at the start of 2013. And he reminds us -- that's Fiscal Year 2013, which starts in October, not the calendar year.
