Community Groups Present West Shreveport Vision

Representatives of seven neighborhood associations have formed a coalition called the West Shreveport Alliance. Alliance President Joyce Lawrence says the group has been meeting for the past three years to develop an economic vision for west Shreveport and west Caddo Parish. Lawrence says the alliance will be working with city and parish governments, businesses, land owners, and residents to jump-start west Shreveport and west Caddo Parish. Lawrence says west Shreveport residents don't want to drive all the way across town to have a nice sit-down dinner or to buy quality products.
