Shreveport will auction off a pile of goods on Saturday.

More than 30 vehicles and surplus pieces of equipment will be for sale at The Lawler Auction Facility, 7781 Highway 1 North.

The auction starts at 9 a.m. and will include cars, trucks, lawn equipment, exercise equipment, welding equipment, a crane and computers. The surplus auction consists of items that have been retired or are no longer needed by city departments, ranging from police and fire to public works and the airport.

This auction will also include surplus vehicles from the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office and the assets of a welding and fabrication shop out of Morgan City, La., that filed bankruptcy and has been ordered sold by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. There are more than 300 lots to be auctioned off on Saturday.

A preview and inspection time has been set up for Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and interested bidders can check outthe items online at www.lawlerauction.com. The auction is open to the public.
