Residents of the ArkLaTex weathered yesterday's storms with very little damage. There were hundreds and even thousands of power outages at one time, but most folks have electricity restored today.

There are still some issues to deal with from the storms that rolled through our state Tuesday. The high water has caused Shreveport trash pick-up to run about a day behind schedule in some areas. All collect

Power is still a problem across parts of Shreveport today.  Power was out at Byrd High School for part of the morning, but classes were not dismissed and crews restored the power within a couple of hours.  But several thousand in Shreveport are still in the dark.
