Captain Shreve High School Announces HOBY Leadership Ambassadors

The 2012-2013 Hugh O'Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership Ambassadors from Captain Shreve High  Schoolare Sophomores Mary Catherine Fertitta and Stephanie Durr. The students will travel to Port Allen,Louisiana, in June to participate in a leadership seminar where they will be introduced to distinguished leaders from various sectors such as business, technology, education, government, arts, and science.

Founded in 1958, HOBY’s mission is to inspire and develop a global community of youth to a life dedicated to leadership, service and innovation. It offers unique youth leadership development programs designed to prepare youth to become effective, ethical leaders in their homes, schools, workplaces, and communities.

HOBY programs are conducted annually throughout theUnited States, serving local and international high school students.  HOBY is endorsed by such respected educational organizations as the American Association of School Administrators, National Association of Secondary School Principals, National Parents Teachers Association, National School Boards Association.
